Private Residence, Nisou, Nicosia
2013 – In progress

Built Area: 350 m2
Client: P. Paschalis
Design Architect: Photiou Architects

On a hilltop site in remote section of Nisou the concept derives from splitting the form to two arms ending in balconies drawing the sun and sky into the heart of the house.

The internal layout is arranged around an internal double storey atrium with window framing unique news.

Deep balconies facing nearly due south act as passive solar devices allowing the winter sun to penetrate the interiors while excluding the hot summer sun.
