Private Residence, Neapolis, Limassol
2010 – In progress
Built Area: 254 m2
Client: F. Musorella
Design Architect: Photiou Architects
This 220m² residence was built as a separate extension to an existing house, taking social habits into consideration and translating them in a certain non-conventional manner.
The house consists of a simple volume deconstructed over two levels. The ground floor hosts a daily living area, kitchen and bedroom while the upper floor accommodates three bedrooms.
The exterior form and the plasticity results mainly from the removal of different parts from the volume. The additive formation of the overall composition results in different plug-ins and arbitrary extensions.
The extensive use of thick and firm walls where part of the structure is exposed, while light mobile metal and wooden elements create a second skin that ensures the climatic adoption and the comfortable living conditions in the closed and semi-open spaces.
