Pool Pavillion AP 2101

Gallery

Commissioned to design a garden/pool pavillion in the garden of an existing house. The brief was to create a relaxing getaway as an airy garden like, contemporary landscape and taking inspiration from the forms of traditional Japanese Zen Garden to create a cocooning escape.

The project covers two distinct areas, the first the swimming pool with its undulating curves. The second a lounge where the space unfolds, creating ultimate areas with a sense of understated luxury. The two areas are united through a composition of shapes, creating a graceful urban setting. The space has been designed for maximum flexibility with minimal boundaries, creating openness in the garden and intimacy in the lounge.

The result is a garden pavilion which offers a sculptural, sensual, and serene experience, a perfect place to retreat and revive.
